Time to Shine: Celebrate the Seniors Festival at Panthers North Richmond!

It’s your time to shine! Join us at Panthers North Richmond from Monday 3rd March to Monday 17th March as we celebrate the incredible contributions of our older adults during the Seniors Festival. This year’s theme, “Time to Shine,” is all about embracing the vibrant and active lives of seniors in our community. With a range of exciting, free events open to everyone, there’s something for all ages to enjoy. From interactive workshops and line dancing to a show-stopping Michael Bublé tribute, come along and be part of the festivities!

Here’s what we have planned for the festival:

Tuesday 4th March | 11:30am – 12:30pm

Greater West Exercise Physiology Interactive Workshop – FREE

Kick off the Seniors Festival with an engaging and fun workshop hosted by Greater West Exercise Physiology! This free interactive session focuses on low-impact exercises designed for all abilities, showcasing how to stay active and healthy. Everyone is encouraged to join in, so come along and experience a gentle yet effective approach to physical wellness.

Tuesday 11th March | 10:00am – 11:00am

Line Dancing Class with Bilby Linedancers – FREE

Get your dancing shoes ready for a fun and energetic 1-hour line dancing class! Run by the Bilby Linedancers, this free session is a fantastic way to learn the basics of line dancing while keeping fit. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or a complete beginner, this class offers something for everyone. Bring your friends and enjoy a morning of music and movement!

Thursday 13th March | 10:00am – 12:00pm

University of the Third Age (U3A) Showcase – FREE

Discover a world of learning and creativity with the University of the Third Age! This free showcase invites you to watch, listen, or even get hands-on with a range of activities offered by U3A. From arts and crafts to discussion groups, this is a great chance to explore new hobbies and meet like-minded individuals.

Monday 17th March | 1:00pm – 2:30pm

The Michael Bublé Songbook Featuring Glenn Starr – FREE

Wrap up the Seniors Festival with a dazzling performance of The Michael Bublé Songbook featuring Glenn Starr. Enjoy timeless hits as you relax at The Avenue. This free event is not to be missed, but table bookings are essential.
